Who we are... 

We are one of over 2,200 local affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International.  We are a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing organization, committed to helping local residents earning a low income to finance and construct their own affordable home. 

 

What we do...   

We work in partnership with families, who invest hundreds of hours of "sweat equity" labor into building their own homes and the homes of others.  We use mostly volunteer labor and donated or discounted materials.  We build safe, simple, decent, affordable housing in Ada County.  Upon completion, the homes are sold to the families using no-interest mortgages with no profit to Habitat.

 

What we've done...  

Since 1990, when the affiliate was founded, Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity has built 38 homes in Ada County, which have housed a total of 48 Habitat families to date.
