We
Volunteers!
The driving force behind Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity is volunteers - those dedicated people who contribute a day, a week, a few months, in some cases, many years (you know who you are!) to give Habitat's vision a tangible form.
Volunteers work to acquire the land on which we build and volunteers help us establish and maintain relationships with individuals, businesses and faith groups within the community. Volunteers also select the families who participate in the program and guide them through the process. Volunteers, together with future homeowners, provide most of the house building labor.
Simply put, without the help of committee volunteers as well as construction volunteers, we would be unable to accomplish our mission.
Orientation
The first step in becoming a volunteer with Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity is to attend an Orientation. They are held on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 10:00 AM at Stronghold Construction, 3040 Elder in Boise (near Vista and I-84). The Orientation provides an overview of Habitat with emphasis on volunteer opportunities. You will also be able to ask questions and sign up as a Habitat volunteer. Orientations last about one hour.
